Weekend Football Wrap-Up: Home Game Highlights

This past weekend was a big one for our club, with all teams playing their first home games of the season. A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who helped set up and support the Under 9’s—your efforts made the day a great success!

Under 9 Gold
The Under 9 Gold team delivered a sensational game, showcasing remarkable development and teamwork. Captained by Jaxon S., the team managed to kick some impressive goals. Best on ground honors went to Jakobe J., Rocky C., and Jaxon S. Congratulations to all for a fantastic performance!

Under 9 Green
The Under 9 Green team also had an excellent game, thoroughly enjoying their first home match at Weeroona Oval. Led by captain Connor Rogers, the team played with enthusiasm and skill. Special thanks to Harvey Steele and Jimmy Cox for filling in. The best on ground were Finn M., Jude C., and Cove M. Great job, everyone!

Under 10s The Under 10s displayed strong defense and impressive forward play in their match. George captained the side this week, leading with determination and skill. Best on ground awards went to Max, Finn, and Josiah for their outstanding contributions. Well done, team!

Under 12s
The Under 12s faced a tough challenge in their first home game that wasn’t a grading game, fighting hard to push the ball into their forward line. Despite their efforts, they went down 47 to 12. Nevertheless, the team showed great spirit and resilience. Awards went to Jack Riley, Angus Mitchell, and Kingston Clarke for their exceptional performances.
